Paper Made it Pretty ~ Jessica Hische's Wedding
I have to admit that I have a HUGE designer crush on the fabulous Jessica Hische! Everything she does is amazing! Her lettering skills and illustrations are picture perfect. I would definitely LOVE to have her mad skills when I grow up. She recently got married and her wedding was featured on 100 Layer Cake and it's no surprise that all the design elements were pure perfection! You can check it all out on the wedding website Jessica and her beau created but here are a few of the snippets that I adore...

Winter Wedding Decor ~ Paper Snowflakes!
How many of you remember making paper snowflakes when you were little?? Well, it's time to bust out those grade school craft skills and make some beautiful decor for your winter wedding! Paper snowflakes are SUPER SIMPLE to make and can be used in so many creative ways to add some winter splendor to your day. String a bunch of snowflakes small to large on fishing line and hang them vertically for an amazing backdrop or simply scatter the flakes down the center of each table for an easy elegant table runner. And don't get stuck on white! Try using colored paper (maybe avoid yellow..hehe) or even some of the patterned paper you created from last week's post for a modern twist. OR grab a can of glitter spray and bring on the glamour! Remember....even the simplest of things can look like a high-end design element when you increase the size or number. A couple strands of paper snowflakes...pretty. One hundred strands of snowflakes...stunning!
Not too confident in your folding and cutting ability? Check out this little guide from Vintage Junky that includes a printable template to get you started. Short on time and scissor handlers?? You can buy snowflake paper punches at your local craft store or purchase die-cut flakes on Etsy.
Let it snow!!

Make Your Own Patterned Paper
Patterned paper is a super simple way to jazz up your wedding decor! There are a ton of gorgeous options out there just waiting for you to buy but they aren't always affordable and finding enough of the same pattern can sometimes be a challenge. So..why not make your own? Pick up a roll of plain paper in any color and buy a patterned paint roller and go to town! Try different color combinations and even multiple rollers on the same paper to create your very own customized paper. Use your newly minted paper to line your invitation envelopes, create ceremony programs, make table runners, and wrap up your guest favors.

Paper Made it Pretty ~ Mint to Be
This super sweet wedding I spotted over on Style Me Pretty is full of wonderful paper details designed by the couple...who happen to be graphic designers:) From the tissue paper flowers to the paper streamer decor, the super simple details add huge impact to this beautiful affair. Oh and did I mention I LOVE this color scheme!? Light, airy, and perfectly paired aqua, mint green, and white.
You don't even miss the real thing with these beautiful tissue paper flower bouquets made by the bride!
I can't get enough of these bouquets! They are SO precious and a great budget friendly substitute for real flowers.
A simple honeycomb streamer ads just a punch of color to the cake stand.
More paper flowers! Big impact on a small budget!
The same honeycomb streamer from the cake stand is used as a fabulous backdrop for the head table. The couple also used the banner motif throughout their decor. This is a great way to create a cohesive, unified feel to your event.
The banner motif repeated as a simple cake topper.
Stickers were added to plain paper bags creating cute packaging for the couple's favors.
More stickers for great reception snack packaging.
The same color scheme and style was used on the ceremony fans. A stylish way to keep your guests cool and comfortable:)
Last but not least the great wedding invitations that started the whole color scheme and banner theme.
All these beautiful images were shot by Oldani Photography via Style Me Pretty.
Which one of these fun paper details is your favorite?
