Find Your Font-Mate ~ Laser Cut Letters
Okay..so it's not exactly a font but I just had to share this amazing laser cut letter! It's so intricate and beautiful! Don't you think it would make a great decoration for the back of the Bride and Groom's chairs at the reception?? And it's yet another thing you can take from your wedding and use as decor in your house. Simple place each letter in a frame with a dark background or no background for a sleeker look and hang on your wall. No cheesy wedding memorabilia here! Check with your local graphic designers or your wedding stationer and see if he/she can design a couple laser cut letters for you. You can also design your own and do a quick online search for printers that offer laser cutting.
Have a safe, happy, and warm weekend! Snuggle up on the couch with some hot cocoa and your loved one if you are one of the "lucky" ones in the middle of this cold spell!

Find Your Font Mate ~ Chalkboard Lettering
So here it is (a few days late thanks to technical difficulties) the latest edition of Font Mate Friday. Still working out some kinks with the blog so there might be a few more delays. Thanks for hanging in there with me:) Have a fabulous week!!
****
Chalkboard details are everywhere these days and I can see why! There's just something very personal about the hand lettering that makes them perfect for weddings. It's also the hand lettering that makes them a little tricky to create on your own...unless your lucky enough to know a fab artist or you can afford to hire one. Have no fear! You can still incorporate this trend with a few great fonts and a little printing magic. Try using some of these chalkboard inspired fonts on a black background and there you have it! Put the paper in a pretty antique frame and you have your very own fancy shmancy hand lettered chalkboard. Just remember, desktop printers don't have white ink so it will just print the black background which means ALOT of ink. Try calling some commercial printers to see if any of them can print white ink. It might take you a little extra time but it will save you tons of ink.

Find Your Font-Mate ~ Southern Celebrity Wedding
Some pictures from the surprise wedding of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have finally been released and all I can say is WOW! It was worth the wait! Talk about the perfectly charming southern soiree! Of course with Martha Stewart as your wedding planner, how could you go wrong?? Now I know that this wedding was a surprise so wedding invites probably took a back seat in the planning process BUT if I had to create invites and maybe some gorgeous little labels for that to-die-for dessert table I definitely would have used an uber romantic handwritten font like Madelinette! It's just the right amount of swirl to add a hint of glam to this casual southern affair.
Have a safe and happy weekend! Hope you have all your Christmas shopping wrapped up:)
